Why comedians stopped being funny

If you find yourself feeling like the author (why so serious mane?) here's a tip, go on google dot com and type "$(theCityYouAreIn) standup comedy". This is where the real shit happens and has probably always happened. I go to comedy shows in my home city all the time and go to random open mics in literally every city I visit, always a great time.

"It's safer to become a podcaster than tell a good joke".

Too bad this by-line isn't actually explored. Instead, we slide into calling Joe Rogan and Russel Brand anti-vaxxers (not directly of course), misinformation, etc.
