Ask HN: HN but for embedded hardware and software

As an embedded developer, I am always happy to see threads about embedded hardware and software, new SoC / MCU releases etc, but these are rare here.

I was wondering if there is something similar. I know about the subreddits, but they tend to be a bit chaotic and not entirely what I am looking for.

If I can, I’m the happy author of EmbedSys Weekly newsletter that is a weekly hand picked list of tech articles https://embedsysweekly.com

If you have questions, I’m happy to reply to anything

I enjoy https://www.cnx-software.com/ not exactly a community , but good news site.

I came here to comment the same [https://www.cnx-software.com/], their comments section though is pretty decent, there are usually 10+ comments (decent quality) on posts for popular MCU/SoC/embedded software/other popular releases.

(disclaimer: I run the Interrupt community at interrupt.memfault.com)

Closest I've found is the "hardware" tag on lobste.rs (https://lobste.rs/t/hardware), though it is not super active. There's also the /r/embedded subreddit, though the main moderator is pretty terrible so it hasn't always lived to its potential.

We'd be keen to host something on Interrupt, if there is interest. Come join us in Slack (join: https://interrupt-slack.herokuapp.com/) if you'd like to chat about it!

If you have Telegram: https://t.me/embedded_system

That's the largest channel about embedded engineering there

Lets start one on discord!

That's a very good suggestion to have a discord server on Embedded systems

not to my knowledge, but this newsletter is source of some nice info from embedded world:

Element 14 Community is awesome (https://community.element14.com/)

I like the monthly round up of articles here.
