Registering a domain and putting one sentence about what a word means for the domain owner most likely won’t tilt popular opinion. Maybe providing more context, history and why the currently popular usage may be confusing or even harmful (?) would be better. Well, I could register a domain called cryptomeanscryptocurrency.com and put a couple of lines in it that say “Crypto means cryptocurrency, as seen on TV and in the media; don’t trust those who use that term to refer to cryptography (they could just say cryptography anyway)”. That would be as devoid of meaning as this site shared here.
I have 17 million things more important to me than the definition of crypto.
Cryptography: literally "hidden writing". It's a beautiful word.
