Motivation could still be different if paid in USD or a crypto currency, if he owned shares in the advertised (or similar) company, if he had other investments that benefit, if he did the work for free, if he wants to raise his profile. The article doesn't attempt to answer any of that, it has zero insight and I'm not sure anything was researched other than which movies he was part of in the past.

Why does headline say 'shilling'? It's an ad. I don't call any youtubers who advertise a VPN or Skillshare a shill for the company, it's clear that money was exchanged.
