Just a bit of a warning with the whole login blockade that seems to be rubbing people the wrong way. At least for Apple, having a quick install -> uninstall flow for your app completely tanks your app store ranking

We'll need to balance that with the need to keep the lights on. People seem generally OK with signing-up to post a question or tip but to read a free guide, there is resistance. Hey, that's why posting the HN is so great!
