I believe this was announced a few months back and I didn’t follow it up then, good to find what this was about
I breezed through it, although skimmed it I would have thought that the potential environmental impact would have been analysed.
It seems to have been a jingoistic exercise for an isolated Britain, with the idea that everything could be sourced from within the UK.
I imagine all things are possible, however practically parts would be sourced from key suppliers.
This is all launched into space, I didn’t catch sight of potential space resources materials, I trust they didn’t want to stray too far.
A quality report, perhaps feedback for future versions could flesh it out a bit.
This seems like a bad idea: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Space-based_solar_power#Disadv...
