Out of curiosity: this test you gave your interviewees, was it done on a computer or pen & paper?

Computer. Web based, copy/paste enabled, no cheat tracking. So in short we let them use an IDE, cheat and copy/paste and they still flunk it.

Heh. I'll never forget the first time I started an interview process with an automated online test with a "cheat tracker". What it ended up really doing was flunking me for alt tabbing to documentation...

I don't understand your comment, what was funny, I don't see them writing cheat unusually?

Hopefully, cheat isn't a normal state :-)
