Heart-breaking and frightening. My sister is a teacher and has never been so demotivated and defeated. Needs a substantial investment in training new teachers and adding infrastructure, and a genuine commitment to improving the system (not just adding more testing and hoop-jumping).
IMO - it's incredible how teaching is the most underappreciated profession in the United States.
