A modern data stack for startups

We're a small company at incident.io (just ten people) but come from mature data cultures, and know the value of having tools that lower the barrier for accessing and understanding data.

Trying to emulate our experience from larger companies probably isn't feasible though, given those companies had BI teams several times larger than our whole company...

This post describes our minimal (2 week max setup time) data stack, deliberately picked to minimise maintenance and to emphasise access for non-technical employees, something we think is really important for a healthy culture.
