Wing advocates/predicts the increased use of abstraction and computational methods in all types of thinking, including daily domesticity.

Aho and Ullman (instantly recognizable names as textbook authors) seem to be recapping high points of comp. sci. but (to me) don't seem to be making the connection back to ordinary mundane cognition.
