So if you know about markdown-here (I didn't know about it, slightly tempted to try it out within Thunderbird, after seeing your post) -- are there any shortcomings? Any reasons you ask for a "native-markdown" client instead of using this? Just interested.

So, I got a chance to play with Markdown-Here extension, and it's a neat function, but looks like there's a fair amount of bugs with not a lot of movement on any of the fixes these days. The conversation has sort of dried up over the past few years. Unfortunate.

I only recently came across it, but haven't tried it. Like you, I'm intrigued.

Understand, unfortunate that markdown-here seems to have bugs. Thanks for the heads-up:)
