US O-1 and F-1 Visa policy changes for high skilled STEM workers

Appears to be focused on creating pathways for highly skilled STEM people to obtain access to work in the US without relying on an employer sponsor.

Could be of particular relevance to people like OSS developers, security researchers, independent developers (e.g. in the games industry). Devil will be in the details but it looks like this might make it much easier for those kinds of people to qualify under O1A or NIW terms.
