Is really 99% accuracy good enough. A 1gHz computer does 10^9 operations each seconds, 10^7 of which would be inaccurate. That sounds like a pretty high number to me, but I’m no quantum scientist
Are we still waiting to discover problems which are more adequate to be solved using quantum computers than classic computers?
The most compelling applications I have heard are for simulating quantum chemistry.
A large increase in the efficiency of factoring large numbers into primes could break common security protocols and crash crypto currency markets. And it's clearly in the realm of quantum supremacy.
