The video shows a light in the sky. If this was some clandestine operation, would the drone really be lighting up and drawing attention to itself like that?

It would if the intent was to remind Sweden of its vulnerability, as in "it's really unfortunate that a parliamentary majority in your country favors a NATO option".

Cutting electricity in the middle of winter would have catastrophic consequences. Half of single family homes in Sweden are electrically heated, water is delivered by electric pumps, and cash has been almost completely replaced by electronic payments.

Maybe a dumb question but what Intel would a drone be able to collect compared to a satellite in such a scenario?

Maybe "What are current reaction plans for drones over nuclear facilities? Did they install anti-drone systems already?"

Somehow it strikes me that kids having fun and authorities overreacting and chasing their own tails is a more likely explanation than the Russians flying drones from their hidden submarines.

Though that's certainly a possibility, it means a bunch of kids coordinated across the country to fly some drones over nuclear facilities.

I wonder what kind of drone they would be using for this?

My DJI drone requires me to be registered with my email linked to it to fly, and I assume everywhere I fly is logged and they could hand over the data to the authorities if I was doing something illegal
