As the maintainer of this CryptPad.cz, I feel obliged to add that it's just one of many instances. The original creators and maintainers of the software is xwikilabs from France, you can find the source here: https://github.com/xwiki-labs/cryptpad/

Thank you for your work! I use it and I can vouch for the fact that it's great.

More accurately, the creators and maintainers are XWiki SAS, which also develops XWiki. CryptPad started as a research project and is partly founded by research grants [1].

I guess XWiki Labs is just a cool, made up name.

I'm looking at the features page and trying to learn about the usability of these suites. Are there example pages we can look at and interact with? That'd be really helpful. I know I can give my email and try it out, but this is a security product so a lot of us are more paranoid.

Besides that, is there going to be a paid option for more than 1GB storage? If it works well it is an interesting product.

@godelski I'm not associated with this project...but on the homepage if you click on any of the icons (e.g. Sheets, Rich Text, Kanban, etc.) immediately to the right of the main logo, it should bring you directly into each of the relevant applications...it allowed me to demo the apps quite nicely.

I'm currently using CryptPad as a Google Doc substitute for collaborative documents, and it's done well by me.

What I especially love is that I'm able to send links (over an E2EE channel like Signal) with people who aren't especially computer savvy and it all works out quite seamlessly with them. No accounts needed, etc...

I like especially the "Code" version because it can be an easy shareable and collaborative Markdown editor. Some documents are really better to write in Markdown in my opinion.

This is very similar to Skiff: https://www.skiff.org/

Or the other way around. I think CryptPad has been around a bit longer than Skiff, and it's open source. Not sure Skiff's license is.

Cryptpad is licensed AGPL. Some people might see that as an advantage over Skiff.

This is great, thank you!
