Voyager Missions Status

I've been following this mission for my entire life. I even remember finding the contact information for and emailing the mission lead some time over a decade ago about the current status during a period of time when the daily data wasn't showing up routinely.

Voyager 2: 44 years, 4 months, 20 days and counting...

Voyager 1: 44 years, 4 months, 4 days and counting...

They are on track to make it past 50 years of operations and it's an absolute testament to the quality of things we can produce when we go all out. Its up there with the moon landing in my book. It's one of the greatest things human kind has ever done.

Id also like to point out the absolutely gorgeous posters produced by the art people at JPL which you can find here https://voyager.jpl.nasa.gov/downloads/ I'm quite fond of the "Voyager Modern" poster (3rd item top row)

Edit: Oh and in case anyone else recognises it, yes the grand tour poster is the same one from the equally gorgeous set of posters JPL produced here https://www.jpl.nasa.gov/galleries/visions-of-the-future
