The redone Penn Station is an abomination. There's no seating! You're expected to sit on the floor if you have to wait for your train. What a joke.
There was ever seating in Penn Station? Spent plenty of late nights sitting on the floor. Or at some fried chicken place lol
I think it was removed when homelessness really took of in the 1980s or 1990s. Amtrak didn't want to damage its business by running a shelter.
There is plenty of seating. There is a waiting section with benches, an Amtrak lounge, and a dining hall coming soon. Not to mention... the classic sitting on the ground.
Maybe things have changed, or I missed something? But back in the summer when I walked through Moynihan and followed the directions to get to my train, there was nothing whatsoever in the hall.
