Check Fennel [0] - a Lisp like language that can be compiled to Lua. You'll still have to learn a bits of Lua as Fennel uses its data structures but that's small compromise for being able to interface with Hammerspoon or use all Lua libs.

JXA has been around for a few years so you can already use JavaScript for scripting. Hammerspoon is “just” a convenience layer on top of the same OSA functionality used by AppleScript, JXA and this project.

The readme says: experimental

Which means different things for different people :)

"Experimental" for me means: ready to start playing around with, adopt if helpful

"Experimental" for my company means: Too early to adopt as a corner-stone technology

At this stage, I think most things in the Babashka ecosystem are "Experimental" currently (correct me if I'm wrong @borkdude :) ) but that haven't stopped me from migrating all my bash/sh scripts to it already.

Fair enough :)

It's experimental mostly because it's new and we don't have a lot of experience with this project yet, but so far it seems to do what it's supposed to do. Feel free to reach out on Github or Slack for issues/questions.
