> Any time I state that cloth masks do not stop the virus from spreading, as in this Denmark study, Florida school comparison, and Vietnamese study, YouTube deletes the video
Worth pointing out that the Vietnamese study indicated that surgical masks were actually quite effective, and that the Denmark study didn't actually focus on cloth masks whatsoever.
His statement "I state that cloth masks do not stop the virus from spreading" is too absolute. I only read the Vietnamese study's summary, but it concluded medical masks were more effective, not that "cloth masks do not stop the virus from spreading."
All this said, n95s are widely available now and should be worn.
Thank you for the link and context.
Leftists hellbent on forcibly masking...
It's a biased article that uses a press release from DeSantis press secretary. There's no data to look at. This isnt what science is lol As usual, the hard data supports sanity and normalcy not just in America's schools, but for everyone else as well.
Ya... this isnt about science, this is about fanning the flames of an imagined culture war.Its more like MC Donalds banned you in entire world and there is no other fast food available.
Also: there's plenty of competition for posting videos, including doing it yourself. Your real argument is "I want them to be able to force YouTube to publish what a government official says, in spite of policy violations, because people only watch videos on YouTube". Which is clearly unconstitutional, but let's go with it. Should Fox News be required to provide whatever AOC tells them to broadcast, with no commentary disagreeing with her statements? After all, the people who watch Fox News only watch Fox News - you can't point to MSNBC, CNN, etc as the people who use Fox News only use Fox News.
But of course not. The real issue is that these are politicians want to lie about a disease during a pandemic, promote homophobic, transphobic, anti-semitic, and generally awful content, and these platforms have policies that they very clearly that you don't get to class groups as untermensch and stay on their platform.
Consider this: is google allowed to just shut off YouTube if they want? Or are they required to keep it up for ever so you can use it as a platform?
Publicly traded companies serving as de facto public squares for hundreds of millions of people are a recent phenomena which societies are ill equipped to regulate. Let's hope things get better.
And that’s still not starving you.
Proposing wide-sweeping legislation to force publishers to act like publishers and censor all content, or to leave content up to users and not censor anything.
It's this duplicitous approach these companies use that is generating all of the controversy.
It's time to propose a regulatory body and start censoring the internet publishers. It's time to propose a gross-revenue percentage fine for these mega-companies as well.
We need to have companies that violate regulations fined with gross-revenue percentage fines. Something in the neighborhood of 10% of the average of past 5 years gross revenue, and the fine last for a minimum of a decade. The fines should be levied against the assets of a company, like a lien so that they cannot simply dissolve the company to avoid the fine. All assets would be attached by the fine, so the fines would /always/ be paid.
Time to gut these mega-corps. Time to force them to comply with basic human decency standards. Time for them to pay the piper.
