Hello! I would like to share with you my Github project which records moves made on your real life chess board using computer vision techniques. It also transfers the moves to any chess website for online playing. Link: https://github.com/karayaman/Play-online-chess-with-real-chess-board

In all the videos, in the computer version whites are down and black up, but in the real life board they are on the sides. Is it possible to play with looking from the other direction?

Yes, it is. You can specify the direction at board calibration step.
