UK has warmest New Year’s Eve on record as temperatures top 15C

Meanwhile, Hastings, Nebraska reached -30 degrees Fahrenheit, its all-time coldest temperature, and the South Pole shivered with an average temperature of -78 degrees over the last six months, the coldest on record according to the Washington Post.

Ditto, the US North West, where I now live, has had one of its coldest winters on record. It's been heavily snowing with temperature well below freezing the past few days, which is almost unheard of at this time of the year in these parts.

The title is:

UK has warmest New Year’s Eve on record as temperatures top 15C

To the submitter ... it's not too late to edit the title and re-insert the "15" taken out by the title-munger.

wow thanks! had no idea you can edit titles!! on reddit you can't

You can edit comments and titles for a short time, subject to certain conditions. I think it's a window of at most 2 hours, but the window will close (so to speak) once enough people have replied. The same (or similar) is true with regards deleting things.

All this is approximate, and I speak from experience, not knowledge.

How doomed are we (humanity) on climate change right now?
