We don’t need animal protein to be happy and healthy and live long lives. Period! This has been proven over and over and over again by doctors, nutritionists, and the millions of vegans and vegetarians of the world.
Anything other than eating plants is going to be significantly less efficient because no matter how you cut it growing 1lb of animal protein will alway require X lbs of plant protein. The math just doesn’t work any other way.
i doubt you can speak for everyone in the world. There's no doubt some people can do this, but there's obviously a large number who cannot. They like the taste of meat.
The solution cannot be to not eat meat. The solution should be to capture all the externalities of making meat, and adding it to the cost of meat (i suppose this should apply for all products and services, not just meat). Then people who choose to eat meat would pay for all externalities properly, and there would be no problems.
Only if you ignore the billions of animals being killed.
While i'm against killing wild animals for food (such as fishing in the ocean), i'm completely fine with farmed animals being killed for food - after all, that is their reason to exist.
Many many dogs are brought into this world solely to fight but this doesn’t excuse dog fighting.
