Is this a manually curated list of artists/music, or based on a Spotify API?

How does this tool pick which artist to display?

I created a searchable playlist of music based on YouTube content, but I'm pretty much adding musicians from a few select genres to it carefully-

I haven't really found a music suggestion tool that isn't driven by the creator's preference, would be nice if YouTube had better classification data on music that could be extracted by XML...

I accidentally left a cronjob running for a decade scraping niche music sites and cross referencing the data with Spotify.

This tool picks random selections from that dataset. The job is still running so you can see new items added to the database in the latest section.

Nice one... Yep, creative scraping is what can provide some really cool and obscure results.. Everything displayed through crawling spotify itself would be biased I guess. I have to really dig on youtube to find good (unknown) music picks manually (so far).

I do want to build this functionality out a lot more -

This is awesome. What’s the best track you’ve uncovered?
