they all forget who they're doing this for. who is the group of people who see these things? customers. but customer happiness doesn't get the big data people to shut the hell up and stop nagging management, and customer happiness doesn't improve anyone's yearly review, and ultimately bad decisions are made because the incentives to make the right decisions are only there when you lay in bed at night and stare at the ceiling and think about what you're doing.
so customers get bad stuff.
