Ridiculous. I'm so tired of people not only telling me that working for a large corporation and then retiring early to support my family and achieve other goals like travel and hobbies makes me a bad person. It demonstrates a total lack of empathy for people who aren't like the author of this piece.

This person works at freaking Palantir. Tell me again how their work is so meaningful.
I'm not arguing that Palantir is uniquely evil. I'm saying that working at Palantir is definitely not using your skills to maximally improve the quality of the world.
