I just need Docker to rebuild from the last 2 layers of the Dockerfile (COPY & CMD). Is there a way to force it?

Ya, the workaround is not relying on a centralized resource.

Does anybody know if this could be creating flow-on effects to Google Container Registry? We're seeing some very weird behaviour at the moment.

It isn't affecting pulling from GCR, but any builds are likely using a FROM line referencing dockerhub, and most CI solutions also run containers from Dockerhub

I knew that the package registry hosted ruby gems, npm packages, and .NET packages, but I did not know it had container image support. That's pretty neat!
