Shame that domestic dogs are treated this way, and I don't mean by the monkeys. It is a deficit of that individuals of the town, and any place, that does nothing about stray and feral domesticated animals. It doesn't take long to eliminate the problem humanely with simple trap, neuter (or spay), and release programs. I'm not at all worldly, but India, an ancient society that invented Chess and discovered Fibonacci numbers, and a vast number of other discoveries and inventions (I think fibre optics were invented in India). Anyway, my point is that India has been, since ancient times, a giant of literature, mathematics, astronomy, music, medicine, architecture, social revolution, and India has produced countless notable and even pivotal intellectuals, academics, engineers, doctors, spiritual leaders, etc. etc., and yet there is heartbreaking widespread poverty, overpopulation, horrific crime (way too many reports of children being gang raped and murdered), it just doesn't make any sense to me, nor does the animosity between India and Pakistan, which must cause massive waste of resources for defense that could be far better spent. And there is no need to reinvent the wheel, every problem there has known solutions that are at the very least reasonably effective. There are enough educated and capable individuals there that it just seems like all the issues should have been solved long before the British arrived, maybe even before Alexander arrived. I sort of understand why we're not all speaking Hindi (a different philosophy and ethic would prevent imperialism), but it is now, nearly 2022, and it just seems like the sad stories from there should have ceased generations ago.
