NYC City Council passes law requiring salary ranges to be posted on job listings

Finally some good news for job seekers.

It's ridiculous that these aren't public. Also, some company policies suggest that employees shouldn't discuss their salaries with their colleagues, which adds to the injury and I believe is illegal.
