Check your Coinbase account, my balance is 600M

This is a seemingly harmless albeit embarrassing incident. But more broadly I'm really curious as to how the Coinbase product is still so bad. Half of the time I try to 'trade' on the app, the transaction will fail and I'll get some generic error message. The user experience is thoroughly lacking. I have to imagine they employ a lot of talented engineers at this point, and they should know how to build a nice scalable product, but they just can't seem to do it. Really baffling... And in exchange for the poor experience, they charge absurd fees.

I had 1.3 Billion... I will be able to buy the 65 inch tv I always wanted!

A bunch of the price trackers are buggy, they'll get fixed eventually, no real reason to get excited.

It would be interesting to know what happened internally though.

Diomond hands now everyone! It will go higher!

It is not just Coinbase. This was Apple Stocks a while ago: https://files.littlebird.com.au/IMG_2DF6D3584334-1-nan5IY.jp...

Definitely weird. Coinmarket cap claims Algorand is >$1M [1] while the AlgoExplorer website says it is ~$1.30 [2]

Yahoo Finance shows -30% on BTC: https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/BTC-USD/ It looks like some bug...

Something fishy going on.. it shows shib at ~147k. Wtf..

Notice Bitcoin SV supposedly spiked to 467 B USD and is currently at 237 M. Because of this I supposedly have 5 M.

First thought is some sort of oracle attack on a defi protocol. I'm sure we'll find out soon enough.

coinbase finally posted a note:

Display Issue - Non-tradable Assets Some non-tradable assets on Coinbase.com may display inflated values - this is a display issue only and does not impact trading.

Saw the value of usdt on binance as 113xxxxxxx eur lol

By balance shows as $52,257,436,438.04

I can't trade, it seems. :(

Maybe time to retire or go on early holiday.

Did you cash out?
