You know what I am going to say: Not your private keys, definitely not your coins.
I had to own my private keys back when I was more into crypto because the concept of a crypto exchange was a new (and somewhat laughable) concept. It seems like that is the most common way that people hold crypto now - in a exchange account.
At one point there definitely was more hacks and scams than crypto exchanges.
