Operation Eliminate Booth Babes

Our industry needs to include more people, regardless of their technical knowledge. We should not exclude booth babes just because they're not nerds.
I'm personally good friends with many girls who do promotion for companies, and I'm grateful for the fact that my industry is becoming something "cool," rather than a asylum for socially inept white nerd men.
Or to put it another way: do you see Apple or Google using booth babes to drum up attention for their new products? Nope.
Young men are (mostly) going to have their attention snap to where ever there are young ladies. Just human nature.
It's dumb, but it makes more sense for samsung/ASUS/whoever since I would guess that a lot of their consumer market share is young men.
RSA, of all places, has booth babes. Because a good pair of tits should really decide someone on which enterprise firewall they want to buy for their mid-size organization, I suppose.
At a gamer convention it's regrettable but vaguely understandable (in commercial terms), but at a security convention?
One of the worse effects of this is that the hired booth help tends to shade from "out and out bimbo in fetish wear" all the way to "attractive person wearing the company shirt". The latter characterization, unfortunately, will overlap with competent engineers who happen to be female and attractive, who will thus get treated like rented decor by a lot of the attendees.
Admittedly not as pretty.
