Window to the World

amazing project. It's where art meets technology. Art because I feel more then just technology-envy looking at this. The timing of this project makes me feel differently about it than if I'd have seen this in 2019. There is something both beautiful but also dystopian about it. And the problem isn't the project but my own feelings this raises.

Hell yeah I want one.

The Japanese phrase "shakai no madoguchi" 社会 の 窓口 has the Google translation "Social window ". However, when a Japanese man discreetly whispers this phrase to his buddy it has a special meaning that his pants are not zipped. The window to society is typically meant to refer to the zippered fly on the front of a man's trousers. And in a unique sense, it is his "window to the world".

I was thinking about making a light-field window that somehow transports the light-field from one side of a wall to the other. Maybe with fiber optics. Window with insulation of a wall.

The changing of the perspective as you move around is very cool!
