There's something poetic, nay, operatic about how the man chosen to be the hero of the working class, considered incorruptible because his personal wealth made him independent of the political machine, and vanguard of a populist revolution against the wealthy elites just winds up pulling a billion dollar golden fleecing that would make an Argonaut jealous.
When most politicians leave office magnitudes of orders richer than when they entered, pointing this out about Trump seems so politically biased.
Does it? What other politician has made those same claims such a central part of their platform?
What other politician left office poorer?
Many leave office more or less where they started, then make it up on board seats, the rubber chicken circuit, etc.
