Presumably this is going to be called the "Kindle Tab" or something like that, they've built up great brand loyalty to Kindle. I don't think they're going to discontinue a product that sells as well as the Kindle and nails a specific use-case the way it does.

As long as their tablets aren't using eInk, I'm sure there will remain a huge market for the existing Kindle.
