The reason healthcare and education cost so much

I get so frustrated when I read piece-meal, overly specific explanations for the enormous cost of healthcare and education.

There is a much more compelling and systematic answer: Baumol's cost disease. I wrote a quick thing about it at sunderji.substack.com.
