Google News without Covid or Lack Thereof

I admit I had become addicted to 'news'--all of it. Free moments were met with the muscle memory of typing in news websites. I, a previously optimistic person had become negative. A month ago, I turned it all off and have been much happier. Ignorance is bliss, but that's not what this is. Much news today is sensationalized entertainment. I had almost forgotten. But, what's the best way to stay informed?

Let me help you: https://news.google.com/search?q=%22world%20news%22%20when%3...

If you want news, you should use their news product, not their general search. Also, the word "news" alone is nearly meaningless. If you want world news, type "world news", if you want sports news type "sports news".

If you want something timely, you can filter to the last 24 hours, instead of looking for something that is regarded as important from any time in the past.
