Very cool idea, kudos! Just minor nitpicks:

You could do with a clearer message regarding the actual rules of the game. I'm logged in right now and I still don't know the exact mechanics of what it is I'm doing there.

It's spelled "Independent" ;-)

Clicking on user names shouldn't trigger an internal server error. I think it's actually fine if you don't have user pages right now, just link to their Twitter profiles.

All in all: for a 48h node-learning session this is awesome work!
