Show HN: Take YouTube video notes without leaving your keyboard

That's great! It'll be even better if it was open source :)

It's great, pretty niche but very useful to people that need to take notes, and I really liked the video explaining how to use it.

It's without any cool slogans, cool modern stock images or life stories explaining why you built it: just straight to the point.

I wish more people made things so simple. I see the title, watch the video, and immediately understand what it is and what it does.

Half of the submissions on Show HN, I have no idea what I'm looking at. Usually submissions have titles like «Change the future of the internet», have modern landing pages with some quotes, icons and animations, and show no real example of the product they are trying to promote. That's too much marketing for me.

Thanks for your submission.

Thanks for your comment :)

More Improvements:

- Grouped shortcuts

- Consistent left to right order

- Moved note to the bottom to make more shortcuts visible on smaller screens

- Added icons to make each easier to find at a glance

- Simplified shortcut descriptions

Out of curiosity, what problem were you trying to solve by doing this? All the use cases I can think are pretty niche.

The most recent one which I'm currently working on is to take notes on the structure of SaaS product intro videos (the one you find on the landing page, usually above the fold)

Another one I had in the past that it will make easier is to add time marks on the video description (youtube segments the timeline and adds a section list to jump between the marks)

I think it can also be useful for people taking online classes or learning from videos

Another one I forgot, transcribing video tutorials into a written guide.
