Ask HN: Getting a FAANG job being self-taught?

1 pointLevokaboky1 comment

Anyone did it (please share how) or do I have to go back to college? Will do it if I have to but prefer not ...

There are three levels of Software Engineers:

1- Not good enough to work for a FAANG

2- Good enough to work for a FAANG

3- Too good to work for a FAANG

If you are self-taught start your own project and aim for 3.
