Ask HN: What is the difference between HN and Reddit?

Reddit has many subreddits, but there is only one HN "feed". Moderating is done very differently.

The people here are also likely very different on average. HN is also not mainstream.

HN has user friendly interface. Reddit is almost unusable.

Hacker News takes itself too seriously, and is pathologically afraid of "turning into Reddit," whereas Reddit knows what it is and accepts it, warts and all.

HN has less humor, and the top-voted comment on any given story is usually a contrarian take.
