The Endless Droning

I probably first encountered this with thinking if my classmates would just do the homework and study, and stop complaining, they would do better. Turns out, I lacked empathy, and it really was that hard for them and that easy for me.
IDEs and project setup are early problems. If you are going to struggle, you will struggle with this first. Its like a weed-out classes in the first and second year of college, but instead of being confined to a classroom, it takes place on popular forums, channels, or subreddits. At the same time, even among the intelligent people, there are those who obsess over their tools. Any professional community needs a certain amount of these people to push the tooling forward. But when you want to talk about solving problems, the focus on tools can seem like bikeshedding.
This discussion is like a droning, or maybe waves crashing upon the rocks. The same conversations will be rehashed over and over between the learners and the tool obsessors. If you want new people to join, and others to improve tooling, it's imperative the conversations continue. If you don't enjoy them, ignore them.
