Ya, it's troublesome. It's even worse on social media because there is no way to broach the conspiratorial filter bubbles so people just keep reinforcing conspiracy theories that make no sense to any sane person. Looks like it's spilling over into HN as well now.

@b0o: Placing my answer here because the post is now flagged/dead and I can't reply. My suspicion is that there definitely are coordinated misinformation campaigns. But it's hard to tell if it's a bunch of trolls or state actors. Probably a combination of both but the end result ends up being the same. People start believing in nonsense and the result is constant political strife which only weakens the US and most other liberal states and nations.
