Nvidia’s Supercomputer to Create Earth's ‘Digital Twin’ to Fight Climate Change

This is great PR, but modeling is useful when there adequate controls and mitigation solutions. We currently have no mitigation tools.

It’s my opinion that climate change can only be fought, most likely in only a small way, by individuals reducing their footprint on planet: drive less, fly less, eat less, consume less. If the purpose of a digital twin is to provide a red flag to humans, then it’s about 30 years and 5 billion people too late.
