People have been talking about this for years and it has always scared me away from crypto. Which is obviously something I regret now. The truth is that this person doesn't offer a shred of evidence as to why this crash will occur in 2022. It could happen in 2023, 2025, 2055. Nobody knows. Maybe it will never happen.

Is Tether a scam? Sure. But you're also getting scammed if you are holding cash. I don't really know what strategy to follow in these uncertain times other than simple gut instinct.

I second that, and add HN has really been so against crypto, it has played a role in a lot of people missing out. Which is really mind-boggling.

I can totally relate. Holding cash is also a scam (devaluation via inflation). Many people are in a bind what to do with their money these days.

Still, I chose to exit the crypto-sphere specifically because of Tether. Consider the following:

Bernie Madoff’s fraud began in the 90’s (according to Madoff). If you’d known back then what you know today about Madoff’s fund, but if for some reason you didn’t know the timing of its ending, would you still have invested in Madoff’s fund back then?
