MoviePass cofounder has bought the company back and is planning a relaunch

I can't wait for more cheap movies while they burn through more venture capital!

While I'm sure there is pent up demand to go back to theatres, there just aren't that many movies to watch. And I think enough people are opting for the at home streaming option that it will affect box office numbers. It's a shame, I really did enjoy going to the theatres.

I really want them to be successful. My dad had the audacity to instill a lifelong love of movies in me and I would live at my local theater if I were able but the economics never really worked out. AMC’s A-List lives in such a weird zone for me. Three movies a week for $25/mo is enough money where I feel pressure to use it and guilt if I didn’t but three movies a week and zero options for guests isn’t really enough to make a day of it, ya know?

Like if it was unlimited movies for me and three “day passes” for friends it would be a no brainer purchase.
