Ask HN: What is the tech scene like in Charleston?

Partner is moving to Charleston for work, I’m trying to figure out what that means for me.

I have no idea what tech companies/startups/cutting edge tech using companies exist in Charleston and am worried I may not find a job that uses my skill sets.

What’s it like living in Charleston?

How is the tech scene there?

Who are the big players?

Who are the hungry up and comers?
