What happens if technology learns to read our minds?

There will never exist a technology that can read human thought, or even approximate it.

Such a technology does not exist, and is impossible.

How many times in human history has this statement been made? How many times has it been proven wrong?

I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just saying that blanket statements like this don't have a great track record of being right.
