You don't need QC to solve transport problems. What, are you suddenylu going to get a magic optimizer that couldn't do what classic optimizers have done for decades?
AFAIK quantum is well-suited to the kind of discrete optimisation problems that transportation generates. Our solution methods in many cases reduce to clever brute-force.
I bet this is someone who read about the 'travelling salesman problem' and quantum computers and put 3 and 3 together.
It looks like this is the beginning of a project, perhaps with an experimental small setup. It's annoying that they mix the current capacity of the system with the planed future capacity once it's fully working in an unspecified timeline.
