My life without a smartphone is getting harder and harder

Products like https://www.thelightphone.com/, sound fantastic in theory, but I can't imagine not having a basic web browser or camera. It has basic mapping functionality, but I've heard it doesn't get you places very quickly.

It's stupidly expensive, and US only. No thanks. I'd rather stick to a PinePhone if I wanted to go that minimalistic.

You may as well not use electricity or running water, what's the point? We live in the future.

I could see putting my phone away for a week or a month as a vacation from tech, but not to use the tools available to us at all is incredibly limiting, what else would you expect?

My pipes don't call back to their manufacturer to report how I use the water.

Water meters exist, and pot growers are sometimes discovered by their excessive burden on public utilities.

Wrong analogy. ISPs also complain if we use too much data.

Steel Corp and Google have no right to snoop and sell what they find, but Google found a way.
