seems like the Achilles heel is that it pushes light away from the center, rather than wrapping it around and bringing it back together. with a pair of lenticular lenses, optically connected together, could you reverse the distortion and show what's actually behind you?
So you can use lenticular lenses to shield yourself from invisibility? Or did I read that wrong? 8-)
